Welcome to TODAY IN CONNECTICUT HISTORY, a collaboration between the Office of the State Historian and Connecticut Humanities, with support from the Sue B. Hart Foundation.

Your source for a daily dose of Connecticut history!

Every weekday for the next twelve months, you’ll hear a 30 second teaser describing a big/amazing/wonderful/important event in Connecticut history on WNPR.  We’ll be publishing a matching post here on todayincthistory.com every day of the year!  Our blog posts will feature more detail and historical context about that day’s featured event, along with vivid imagery and a list Further Reading links and resources for those who want to delve even deeper into Connecticut history.
